Chapter 4. Empowerment of Women Farmers' Groups

This chapter discusses the strategic role of women in agricultural and rural economic development through Women Farmers' Groups (Kelompok Wanita Tani/KWT). Women make important contributions to home-garden cultivation, post-harvest processing, household management, marketing, and financial management. KWT empowerment focuses on strengthening capacity, access to resources, decision-making ability, agency, and social capital. Through collective activities, women can improve their skills, consolidate resources, develop productive enterprises, strengthen household food security, and build economic networks.
