Chapter 15. Final Semester Examination (UAS)
Synopsis
The Final Semester Examination assesses the overall materials covered throughout the book, including Indonesia’s geographical, social, and cultural characteristics; disaster types and patterns; social, economic, and environmental impacts; community-based mitigation; mitigation planning; risk communication; case analysis; technology and media; institutional roles; local wisdom; education; and mitigation implementation. The assessment includes conceptual questions and tasks requiring students to connect different aspects of disaster management. Students are expected to understand the relationships among Indonesia’s geographical conditions, community vulnerability, mitigation strategies, communication, technology, community participation, and local knowledge. The final assessment therefore measures not only knowledge recall but also the ability to apply knowledge when analyzing disaster-mitigation issues. The table of contents places Chapter 15 on page 207, followed by the References section on page 211.
